Brazilian football coach Mano Menezes has said that Brazil have a great chance of winning gold at the Olympics.

The Olympics will be taking place in the summer in London.

The Brazilian squad for the Olympics will include a number of high-profile stars, despite the fact that only three players over the age of 23 can be involved in the Olympics squad. Such is the strength of Brazil that Mano Menezes is confident of achieving gold at the Olympics in London this summer. Argentina recently won the Olympics with Lionel Messi in the team, while Brazil flopped under the guidance of Ronaldinho the previous time around.

This time around, Brazil will be taking a number of players who have already been established in the first teams of big clubs across Europe. Silver medal has been the best Brazil have achieved in the Olympics so far. In the last Olympics tournament in 2008, Brazil achieved a bronze. Despite being extremely confident about the chances of Brazil winning the gold in the summer, Mano Menezes has largely been using the senior players for the friendly matches that Brazil have been involved recently. Only players like Neymar, Pato, Rafael Da Silva, and Paulo Henrique Ganso have been selected for the friendly matches.

Mano Menezes, though, confirmed that he will be selecting more younger players for the friendlies in June. "The time we will have in the United States will allow us to stay together for some 20 days, that will be a good first step. I have a lot of confidence in the team that we will bring to London. We will have a team capable of fighting from the start to try and win the Olympics," Mano Menezes said when asked about the preparations for the 2012 London Olympics.
