Brazil’s national team manager Dunga says that he feels Chelsea midfielder Oscar would be a great fit at Juventus.

After playing an important role in Jose Mourinho’s first season at the club, the 23-year-old has been in and out of the team this season. He has not completed 90 minutes of action for almost three months now. There has been speculation that he has fallen out with Mourinho after criticising the defensive tactics of the Portuguese. Incredibly, Oscar was hailed as the key figure in the Chelsea team only last season by Mourinho. It remains to be seen if the 23-year-old will be a regular fixture next season.

Dunga has added to the speculation concerning Oscar by saying that Italian outfit Juventus should consider making an offer for the midfielder. Unlike several other Brazilian midfielders, Oscar is not known for the flair that he provides on the pitch. He is a combative player who can also make a huge difference in the attacking side of things. He has featured in 33 games for Chelsea this season, but a significant portion of that has come from the bench. The midfielder has contributed seven assists and eight goals in these matches. Juventus are seen as the strongest Italian team and they are competing in the Champions League quarter-final against Monaco.

“Oscar has technique, reads situations well and is a modern and versatile trequartista. He reminds me of Roberto Baggio, but also has similarities to Massimiliano Allegri.Brazilians like to have fun with their football, which hasn’t happened to Oscar very much recently, but I met Jose Mourinho and he spoke highly of all his Brazilian players.I tell Allegri that Oscar is strong and also a good lad. A forward line with him, Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata would drive any Coach crazy,” said Dunga.
