The Chelsea midfielder Oscar has said that his extremely happy to be playing for Chelsea due to the style of play adopted by the European champions this season. The Brazilian international was a £ 25 million signing in the summer and he has had a great start to life in West London.

He has so far scored four goals in the Champions league alone, which has cemented his reputation as one of the talented youngsters in world football. After largely being a defensive side since the takeover of Roman Abramovich in 2003, Chelsea have finally started playing an attacking style of football as demanded by the owner.

After failing to start in the first few matches since his arrival at the club, Oscar has become an instrumental part of the Chelsea team in recent weeks. He has played in the middle of the three supporting midfielders to Fernando Torres. The presence of Eden Hazard and Juan Mata either side of him has also brought the best according to the 21 year old. However, he has promised even better things to come in the forthcoming weeks. Oscar recently scored a stunning 45 yard goal in the match against Shakhtar Donetsk to become the second top scorer in the competition so far this season.

“It’s a pleasure to play for a team which attacks like this. I’m Brazilian, so of course I like playing this style of football a lot. It makes me happy to be playing in a team that plays this way, and to be at a club that wants to play the type of football that I enjoy playing. That’s very important to me. This is my first experience in English football so naturally there is a process of adaptation as I get used to the different environment," said Oscar.
