Brazilian attacker Richarlison has revealed that he is very happy to have made the switch to Everton while suggesting that the move could be the stepping-stone to pursue a bigger challenge in the future. The attacker has made a bright start to the season with Everton with three goals from as many matches but he has missed the previous three domestic games after receiving a straight red card.

In an interview with UOL Esporte, Richarlison has highlighted that he is content to have secured a fresh move with Everton and he is relishing the prospect of progressing further in his professional career. He added to state his ambition of becoming the top goal-getter during the ongoing league campaign while helping the club come closer to their quest for European football.

He said: “That way you leave me in a complicated situation… They are two giants, the dream of any player. “But I just got to Everton, I’m very happy. And in the end the next step will depend a lot on what you do here. So I hope to do a lot of good things in Everton, to win something relevant and to give back the confidence of the club and the fans. This is my great motivation right now. “I feel more prepared, “ I already know the rhythm and style of the Premier League, which helps me on the way to the achievements. I want to be the top scorer of the league, take Everton back to the Champions League and reach the Brazilian national team.”

Richarlison’s transfer to Everton had raised plenty of question marks during the summer transfer window after the club spend an initial fee of nearly £40m to pursue him from Watford. However, things have since flowed fluently for him with three goals already in the club’s shirt but he may want to improve on his discipline after his reckless sending off versus Bournemouth. Nonetheless, he has managed to break into the Brazil side for the first time during the recent international break and he scored a brace in his debut versus El Salvador.
